Introducing Sue France: ATTAIN Business Development Manager
Having recently recruited for a new role of Business Development Manager, we are delighted to announce the arrival of Sue France, a previous customer of ATTAIN with more than 35 years’ experience in sales and marketing.
Sue’s career began when she was employed as a temporary Christmas co-ordinator at the Portland Thistle in Manchester when she was just 18, before being made permanent Events Co-ordinator, long after the sparkly lights were taken down.
Sue has honed her skills in building genuine relationships with clients and exceeding their expectations through a number of Sales and Events roles at major venues across Greater Manchester – including Manchester United, DeVere Whites Hotel within Bolton Wanderers stadium, and Wigan’s DW Stadium.
Having worked with ATTAIN over the past ten years as a customer during her time at DW Stadium as Head of Sales, Sue is familiar with many members of the ATTAIN team and is excited to now be working alongside them. She says that this is her dream role and it’s so great to be back on her ‘patch’ of Wigan as, whilst Sue lives in Worsley herself, she has many friends and ex-colleagues in Wigan and is part of a Wigan-based running club.
Sue says: “I’m really looking forward to learning about our clients’ businesses and understanding their aspirations. I love to help people, and really enjoy being part of the journey to help clients get the most out of their business – creating amazing results together.
“I aim to grow the ATTAIN name throughout the North, not just in the vicinity of our office in Wigan, but from the north of Manchester and into Cumbria, working alongside our office in Altrincham to raise our profile and of course, increase business. Once things return to normal I’m excited to represent ATTAIN at face to face networking events and to meet our existing clients, as well as the new ones; learning what they need to succeed, who their customers are and how they communicate with them – I really enjoy fact-finding and helping clients come up with a solution.
“I’m also looking forward to seeing my new desk which is apparently overlooking the canal!”
Sue very much believes in ATTAIN’s core values and ideologies, something which drew her to the role in the first place.
Outside of work there is not much time spent on the couch watching box sets as Sue loves keeping fit. She has a dog, Teddy, who she likes to walk, and when she’s not walking she enjoys running with the Julie’s Joggers running team based in Wigan, as well as doing ‘trail runs’ in Cumbria where she has a holiday home. She has even been known to do the odd half marathon in places like Palma, Majorca.
Get in touch with Sue today for an informal chat about her role, how she can help you with your digital marketing needs – and, of course, to hear more about Teddy the dog! sue.france@attain.uk.com
